Summer Camps and Activities
We have several exciting opportunities for your kids to beat summer boredom be participating in our camps, service opportunities, and Vacation Bible School. Read on for more info on all the ways to make this summer one your kids will remember for a lifetime.
Vacation Bible School
June 8-12, 2020
There is no cost to attend VBS
As kids explore a world of concrete and cranes, rivets and rebar, bulldozers and backhoes, they will learn to build their faith on Jesus as they uncover the truth that He who began a good work will be faithful to carry it on to completion!
This summer, kids will focus in on some amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus. During VBS, students and adults will discover that Jesus’ love provides a foundation that will last. When the storms of life come, they’ll need the One who will be with them to the end of the age. When anxiety sets in, they’ll need the assurance that true worth comes from being a child of God, not what other people think about them. They’ll need to be wise builders who continue in what they’ve learned and firmly believe. And they will discover that He who began a good work will be faithful to carry it on to completion.
PraiseWorks
July 13-17 / 7th-12th Grade Students
Cost: $230
PraiseWorks is an incredible opportunity for students to gather to worship, learn about worship, and to gain skills for leading worship. Our goal is to equip students with hands-on experiences and to give them a place to discover and develop their passion and their God-given abilities. Students can choose tracks in leadership, music theory, photography, drama, song writing, voice, piano, guitar, drums and more!
JoyWorks
July 13-17
Cost: $230
JoyWorks is like church camp out of the box! Students have tons of fun, but also get to explore and develop the unique ways God has gifted them! Students will form new and lasting friendships with kids from all across the state. Together they will enjoy everything from swimming and recreation to singing in our massive choir and preparing for the WorshipWorks Finale on Friday morning. Interested students also have the chance to share their God-given talents in music, drama, and visual arts by auditioning with prepared pieces. Chosen works are used during Evening Worship (Monday – Thursday evenings), Joy in the Morning (Tuesday – Friday mornings), and the Talent Show (Wednesday evening).
Camp Renu
June 24-27
Cost: $150
This summer, students who have completed 3rd-6th grade will have an absolute blast while learning biblical truths at Camp Renu. This overnight camp is held on the grounds of Spring Lake Camps and Retreats in Lonsdale, AR. We will meet at FBC at 2pm on June 26, 2019 and return Saturday June 29, 2019 around noon. Please Register by May 8. There will be an informational meeting at FBC on May 1 at 6:30pm.
Mission Arlington
July 5-10
Cost: $200
This summer, your 5th-6th grade student will be given the chance to attend Mission Arlington and participate in leading Vacation Bible School in apartment complexes. This is an incredible opportunity for your child to learn to share the gospel and put their faith to action. Please plan for your student to attend the 3 training meetings on May 8, 15, & 22 (Wednesdays). We will have a final training meeting June 30, and a parent information meeting May 1 at 6pm.
